Poteet ISD is excited to offer a series of Parent Learning Workshops this April, designed to support families with valuable tools, resources, and strategies to help their children succeed both academically and socially. These sessions provide opportunities for parents and guardians to learn, connect, and grow alongside their children.

Our April workshop lineup includes a variety of important and engaging topics:

  • April 9 – Raising Responsible Teenagers
    Learn practical strategies to help guide your teen toward independence, accountability, and positive decision-making.
  • April 14 – The Bully vs. The Bullied
    Gain insight into recognizing bullying behaviors, supporting your child, and fostering a safe and respectful environment.
  • April 14 – Understanding Your Child’s Learning Style
    Discover how your child learns best and how you can support their academic success at home.
  • April 15 – Play & Learn: Child Growth & Development (In-person only)
    Explore how children grow and develop through interactive play and activities.
  • April 16 – Bringing Visuals Home: Supporting Communication Beyond the Classroom
    Learn how to use visual tools and strategies to support communication and learning at home.
  • April 22 – Play & Learn: Ages & Stages (In-person only)
    Understand developmental milestones and how to support your child at every stage.
  • April 29 – Play & Learn: Early Brain Development
    Discover how early experiences shape brain development and ways to support your child’s growth.

These workshops are a great opportunity for families to gain knowledge, ask questions, and become more involved in their child’s education. We encourage all parents and guardians to participate and take advantage of these helpful sessions.
