Poteet ISD is proud to embrace the opportunity to serve students with disabilities who require a specific set of pre-requisite TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills) that focus on LIFE Skills. In a collaborative effort with Jourdanton ISD, Charlotte ISD, and McMullen County ISD, we have established a comprehensive Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) program at the elementary level and LIFE Skills classrooms at each campus to ensure that students' Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) are met in environments tailored to their needs.

This partnership strengthens our collective ability to provide specialized instruction and support for students, ensuring they develop essential life skills that will empower them for future success. By working together, our districts ensure that students have access to the best possible resources and programs to help them thrive academically, socially, and personally.
