Who can participate?
Any student, grades K-12, enrolled in PISD is eligible for testing and placement for Gifted and Talented services if the eligibility requirements are met.
What are the requirements?
To be eligible for PISD G/T services, the student must show significant success with quantitative and qualitative measures according to the PISD G/T Profile
Who makes the decision?
All decisions regarding placement of students for G/T service are made at the campus level by the G/T Placement Committee consisting of educators who have their 30 hours of G/T Training.
How are students referred for participation?
· Teachers, counselors, and administrators can refer students
· Students can refer themselves
· Parents and Guardians can refer students
